So this morning as I pulled into Food Lion, I checked my teeth in the car mirror. I noticed a small circular bump, actually more like a blister, directly below one of my center bottom teeth. Hmmmmm. I have seen this kind of thing before, and it was not a good feeling. You see, when I ended up needing a root canal after a crown a few years ago, it looked just like this but larger.
I called the dentist and was given a 4PM appointment. THe dental assistant almost immediately told me it was a canker sore; I did not agree. I explained that the appearance had been drastically different before I brushed my teeth at lunch. Since then, it had deflated, i.e., popped. UGH.
THey took X-Rays. Guess what the good news is??
Three of my four center bottom teeth have absessed areas below them! NICE!
It seems that the root tips of my teeth were shorter than normal, leaving an open empty area that most people do not have. She said that most likely, orthodontic treatment pulled my teeth upwards quicker than they grew, thus the teeth never caught up to filling in the gaps below each of the three roots. NICE! Then, over time, bacteria builds up until you end up with an absess. NICE. It has nothing to do with dental hygeine. I swear.
I have to have a TRIPLE ROOT CANAL in the next week or two. NICE.

Wasting time
Tonight, I somehow ended up on this website that gives the details surrounding celebrity death. (It isn't gory but it is very detailed.) I became obsessed. I have gone all the way through the letter S in the alphabetical listing of celebs. This stuff is entertaining.
Milesy's gone to Grandma's
I feel really oddly lonely without my Miles here to harass me. I am always soooo ready for her bedtime to come because that always ends a long day of caring for her (them), but when they are gone your house feels so empty! It is worse tonight, but I don't really know why.
This is part of going to Mawmaw's house:
Maybe it is because when I called earlier, she was pouring 'tea' (grape Koolaid) for her Mawmaw and PopPop and serving it in real china cups on a real tray. She is so proper about it, too. She doesn't do that with me at home. Boohoo.
Here's another good one:
No sleep 'til Brooklyn
Last night I went to bed and tossed and turned. After a hour half (12:35 AM), I got up and went downstairs to work on jewelry. I had been lying in bed with images flashing in my head of things I wanted to make. I ended up in bed at 3:00 AM. God, it just makes me want to yawn typing that. Needless to say, both of the children were up and wild at 7:30 AM. UGH. I needed a nap by 9:30. LUckily for me, so did they, thus I got a small nap before the grocery store. YAY!
Ao anyway, if you are interested, here are a few things I made until 3:00 AM last night.
Oh, and did I mention that I did this to myself on a Tuesday night...which is followed by my husband working late on Wednesdays...meaning kids all by myself til sometimes as late as 8PM. YAY!
The Nashville Zoo: Part 1
OK, so on June 16th, we took the girls to the zoo. It was an amazing day full of lots of first time excitement and leisure. It was unbearably hot but worth it.
The first exhibit that you pass as you enter is that of a few very large birds with long, blue feathers and short, orange beaks. Miles was extremely excited to see them, as they are similar to some in a Diego video. Anyway, as she stood near the rail (using her stroller seat as a step in order to see more easily), Miles began to call out to the birds in a loud piercing schreach. Kah Kaaaahhhhhhhhhhk! She yelled more than a few times; the birds never responded. She did not allow them to discourage her, though. Instead, she switched to her old old stand by. Just as proudly as she could, with her chest puffed out far and with no awareness of anyone around us at all, she raised her tiny hands to her mouth and bellowed, "Cock a doodle dooooooooooooo!" Repeatedly.

Allergies
My allergies are FINALLY somewhat better. Praise the Lord. I was getting tired of staying looped out on Benadryl every day. I mean, I couldn't even enjoy my medicine head because I had such noticeably bothersome allergies!

Personal trainer and me
Two words no one expects to hear in the same sentence, but I digress.
I have a personal trainer named Adam. He is really cool and I like his approach. I think he will be good for me. First, he was really positive without being fake about it. He totally sees my potential. I am down with that. He told me I have to put the coke down. I cried a little inside. Not really, but you get the point. I love my Coca Cola.

So I guess a little history is a good start.
31 years old this summer, I spent my first 30 years becoming who I am . Who am I?
I am a stay-at-home mom and jewelry artist. I am a college grad who was much more interested in Chi Omega than class and spent far too many night shutting down the old Murfreesboro haunt, Main Street, literally. I worked there for two and a half years.
I married a guy I met in my last college apartment complex. His friend, Shad, lived across the hall, and eventually, he saw the light. I don't know how, but someone somewhere started the notion that we were scandalously involved far before we ever were. Much to said individual's disappointment, Phillip and I had our first date on August 27, 1999, and have been inseperable since. We have been married since October 6, 2001.
I have two little girls who are my existence. Miles is almost four and is clearly destined to give me hell in later years. Lola is a hammy little thing at 13 months. She is as sweet as they come and learns all of her big sister's tricks almost instantly.
I am quirky. You will eventually learn that firsthand, I am sure.
